Wests Finals Fever!

What an amazing season with all but two of our eight seniors teams making the finals as well as all four of our junior teams.

We also snagged the minor premierships in Mens CL1 and SL4, the Canberra Cup midweek competition, U18/1 boys and the U11/2 girls so not a bad effort for the year!

After the senior semi-finals last weekend, all our finals teams are still alive with CL1 and the midweekers straight through to the GF. CL2 and SL4 didn't want to miss a weekend of hockey so will be playing in the preliminary finals on Saturday along with our young SL1 team who seem to be repeating their efforts of last season in winning the games that count. After a nail-biting win in a shoot-out, our Women's SL3 team is still alive and will be continuing their finals campaign on Sunday.

And the junior semis are on this weekend with both our U18 boys teams playing Friday night and our U11 boys and girls playing all their finals on Saturday morning.

The finals schedule for the weekend is:

Friday night

6.10pm - U18/2 Boys v Grammar on the Watt (Semi-final)

7.10pm - U18/1 Wests/Dara Boys v United on the Carter (Semi-final)

Saturday

8.00am - U11/2 Wests/NCE Girls v Uni Juniors on Willows 3 (Semi-final) followed by the GF at 10am on Willows 4 if the girls get through

9.00am - U11/1 Boys v Central on Willows 2 (Semi-final) followed by the GF at 11am on Willows 3 if the boys get through

12.30pm - Mens SL4 v St Pats on the Powell (Preliminary Final)

12.45pm - Mens CL2 v Old Canberrans on the Carter (Preliminary Final)

2.15pm - Mens SL1 v Old Canberrans on the Powell (Preliminary Final)

Sunday

2.15pm - Womens SL3 v Central on the Powell (Preliminary Final)
