Welcome to the Western District Hockey Club, also known as Wests.

Wests is affiliated with Hockey ACT and was founded in 1969. We are a family club with a strong tradition of nurturing hockey talent, while providing an inclusive and friendly environment catering to players of all ages and skill levels. We engage experienced coaches to provide stimulating and enjoyable training sessions which translate to fulfilling games.

We enjoy playing hockey together and new players are always welcome!

Senior Rule changes - Aerial ball and face masks

For the 2025 Outdoor season there has been a change to the interpretation of the rule around aerial balls and a change to penalty corner safety equipment requirements. Players can now approach after the receiver touches the ball rather than having to wait for them to control the ball. Plus, everyone defending a penalty corner must wear a face mask and remove it before exiting the 23-meter area. · Read more
